The complexity of our identity in relation to our environment and the broader world is intricate. Are we at the center of our web or on the outer edges? Are we the hunter or the prey?
My self-constructed identity often feels like a web ensnaring me. It’s my inner world, not the external one, that complicates things. Each reassessment lets me choose a different place in the web. Do I want to be at the heart, alert and ready, or on the periphery, observing? Can I escape my own carefully constructed web? Recognizable?
