On the Move

It is possible that I can make work in this spirit.
Please contact me about the possibilities.
From a very young age I loved the colors pink and orange. So I used to make all my clothes in these intense colors. Throughout my life, these colors come back. In every clothing collection that I designed for manufacturers, I put at least the orange on the color card.
For me, pink stands for: statement, softness, love, femininity.
Orange stands for: strength, attention, signal, fiery, warmth.
These colors touch and inspire me. I use them a lot in the work I make now.
In this work, I depict with transparent fabric in many layers, the phases I go through my life. Viewed from my frame. The peaks and valleys, the movement and changes I go through. Presented in square shapes that differ in height, shape and position. Falling in and out of the square plane.
Beschrijving
As a substrate for the 3D works, Carry uses Plexiglas sheets or steel-welded frames with painter’s canvas over them. She then builds up the work on this in various layers, with transparent tulle, metal mesh or organza silk. This can be a figurative or abstract image, such as faces expressing a feeling, or graphic shapes.
Materials; acrylic paint and spray, brushes, scalpel, scissors and sewing machine or embroidery by hand, where she uses a thick thread.
“Elevating everyday material into poetic and meaningful work,” she calls it herself.
