“EScape” delves into both the external landscapes and the internal realms of our existence. It examines nature—the natural world and our personal essence—and the ways we might evade or conceal our true selves and stories if we remain silent or unheard.

This series uses layers of fabric and textures to represent the hidden thoughts and emotions we keep about ourselves and the world. These textiles symbolize the barriers we create between our true selves and our outward expressions.
